After graduating from college, Carol worked in the training department of First National Bank in Atlanta, GA, before joining Brown Olmstead, a public relations firm, also in Atlanta. Carol moved to Washington, D.C., to join the staff of Senator John C. Stennis and then moved to the Office of Legislative Affairs/Congressional Liaison, Office of Management and Budget. She became a licensed real estate agent more than 20 years ago.
